Here's a video promoting travel to Vietnam, clearly targeting American tourists. While the voice over is rather dull and mysteriously refers to the city of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), there is a good albeit quick overview of some of the natural wonders and interesting culture of Vietnam. Highlights as always are Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta.
Here's a nice, personal look at a travel adventure to Vietnam, including famous Halong Bay, the Mekong Delta and Hanoi. I liked the mix of still photos and video, and the way the images capture some of the local Vietnamese people and culture, including living in the city and family life.
Very interesting video, although the camera work is a bit shaky and blurry at times. This is the first video I've seen of Halong Bay (Ha Long Bay) in Vietnam at sunset. What's most striking to me is the sheer number of junkboats and cruises in the bay. Perhaps because it's dusk that the green limestone mountains recede a bit and you can see how many boats are on the water - but still worthwhile!
Yet another great video from Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. Out of all the great destinations in the world, it seems that Halong Bay is the most prolific in terms of amateur travel videos. One just can't go wrong shooting the majestic limestone formations jutting out of the bay. In this particular video, most of the 6-minutes are taken up with soothing clips of the bay, the rock formations and the Chinese junkboats. Towards the end, the host climbs up one of the small hills for a great view and further explanation of the naming of Ha Long Bay (he calls it Dragon's Back, but I think it's more Descending Dragon). Well shot (despite the lack of sun for the first sections), well edited and definitely worth a watch.
Here's yet another extended video showing the experience of visiting Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. These limestone rocks that pepper the bay are so unique, it's no wonder this UNESCO World Heritage Site gets to many visitors. This is probably one of the most frequently recorded tourist destinations I see online, hence the title of this post: I really, really, really wish I had figured out a way to invest in adventure travel to Ha Long Bay several years ago!
